Capital Readiness Is the Beginning: How Fasty Funding Fits Into a Long-Term Capital Strategy

Business owners often approach financing because of an immediate requirement.

They need capital for inventory, payroll, equipment, marketing, expansion, a new contract, an acquisition or another operating opportunity.

At that moment, the natural question is:

“How do I get the funding I need?”

At Fasty Funding, we believe there is an equally important second question:

“What should the business do today to create more capital options tomorrow?”

That question is the foundation of Capital Readiness and an important reason Fasty Funding is part of the broader Medro Advisors platform.

From Business Funding to Capital Strategy

Fasty Funding focuses on nationwide business funding, working capital, growth capital and Capital Readiness.

But working capital is often only one stage in a much longer financial journey.

A business owner may initially need $50,000 or $100,000 of operating capital.

As the company grows, that same entrepreneur may eventually need to:

  • finance equipment;

  • acquire commercial real estate;

  • refinance an existing property;

  • obtain bridge or structured capital;

  • acquire another company;

  • recapitalize the business;

  • create personal liquidity;

  • prepare for an eventual sale or ownership transition.

Those events should not necessarily be viewed as unrelated transactions.

They can be stages of the same business-owner capital lifecycle.

That is the larger strategy behind Medro Advisors.

The Three C's of Business Funding

Fasty Funding's Capital Readiness framework begins with three fundamental areas:

Cash Flow. Credit. Collateral.

Cash Flow

Capital providers want to understand the economic capacity of the business.

Revenue matters, but so do margins, deposits, existing obligations, seasonality, debt service and the consistency of operating cash flow.

Credit

Personal and business credit can influence the programs, structures, pricing and amounts available to a business owner.

Credit is therefore more than an approval issue.

It can affect capital optionality.

Collateral

Real estate, equipment, receivables, inventory and other business assets may create additional financing possibilities.

Not every transaction requires collateral, but understanding the company's asset base can expand the capital conversation.

Together, the Three C's help answer an important question:

How financeable is the business today—and what could make it more financeable tomorrow?

Capital Readiness Creates Optionality

The objective of Capital Readiness is not simply obtaining an approval.

The larger objective is creating options.

A capital-ready company may be able to compare multiple structures based on:

  • cost;

  • term;

  • repayment structure;

  • collateral;

  • guarantees;

  • speed;

  • flexibility;

  • intended use of proceeds.

A business that waits until capital becomes an emergency may have fewer alternatives.

That is why capital planning should ideally begin before the need becomes urgent.

The Business Owner's Capital Lifecycle

The broader Medro Advisors framework views business capital as a progression:

Capital Readiness → Working Capital → Growth → Commercial Real Estate → Acquisition → Recapitalization → Ownership Transition

Fasty Funding occupies an important position near the beginning of that lifecycle.

As the entrepreneur's needs become larger or more complex, other specialized Medro capabilities can become relevant.

Fast Commercial Capital focuses on commercial real estate financing, bridge capital, recapitalizations, refinancings and structured-capital assignments.

Alianza Partners focuses on business acquisitions, principal investment and ownership-transition opportunities.

Amable Properties focuses on real estate acquisition and investment opportunities.

America's Loan Source is being developed as an additional financing and capital-access component.

Medro Advisors connects the larger capital and transaction strategy.

The individual brands are specialized. Medro is the connective tissue.

Think Several Transactions Ahead

Consider an entrepreneur who uses working capital to expand a successful operating company.

The expansion works.

Two years later, the owner purchases the commercial property occupied by the business.

Several years after that, a competitor becomes available for acquisition.

The combined company grows.

Eventually, the owner begins thinking about recapitalization, succession or a sale.

What began as a working-capital requirement has evolved through multiple stages of business ownership.

That is why the most useful capital question is not always:

“What can I qualify for today?”

It may be:

“What should I do today so I have more choices when the next opportunity appears?”

That is Capital Readiness.

And within the Medro Advisors framework, Capital Readiness is the beginning—not the end—of the capital conversation.
