Fasty Funding Examines Why Improving Credit Conditions May Not Reach Small Businesses First

Fasty Funding has published a new edition of The Business Funding Report examining why improving credit conditions may not immediately provide smaller companies with greater access to capital.

The Federal Reserve’s July 2026 Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey found stronger demand for commercial and industrial financing from large and middle-market companies, while demand from smaller businesses remained essentially unchanged.

The analysis explains why profitable and growing businesses may still encounter financing challenges because of uneven monthly revenue, seasonal cash flow, limited operating history, customer concentration, recent expansion, collateral limitations, or the need for faster execution.

According to Don McClain, Founder of Fasty Funding:

“More credit may be available within the financial system without becoming equally accessible to every business. Preparation and capital strategy determine whether a company can use that capital effectively.”

The newsletter also explains why business owners should evaluate total financing cost, payment frequency, repayment term, collateral requirements, guarantees, prepayment provisions, and the effect on operating cash flow—not simply approval speed.
